General information on seminars and advanced labs

• The seminars and advanced labs can also be found on the portal of the Department of Economics and Management. As a rule, the application and allocation of places for the courses also takes place there.
• The following applies to Informatics students: AIFB seminars or labs cannot be credited in the Informatics B.Sc./M.Sc. elective area. Informatics students should clarify in advance with the Department of Informatics whether the coursework can be recognized.

Registration for a seminar or lab

• Participation in a seminar or lab requires (1) that you have received confirmation of a seminar place (e.g. via the WIWI portal) and (2) that you have registered for the course in the Campus Management Portal in good time.
• Registration in the Campus Management Portal alone does not entitle you to participate in the course. Students therefore initially receive the status "waiting list" after their registration.
• The registration period usually begins in the first week of the semester and lasts four weeks.
• Cancellation of the seminar or lab after the end of the registration period may result in a grade of 5.0.
• To register for a seminar, the seminar module and the corresponding placeholder course (Seminar in Informatics (Bachelor) or Seminar in Informatics (Master)) must be selected and added to the study plan.
• To register for a lab, the associated informatics module and the corresponding ("T-WIWI-...)course (e.g. "Advanced Lab in Informatics") must be selected and added to the study plan.
• A seminar or lab can also be completed as an additional or preferred Master's course. In this case, the corresponding course component must be selected in the additional coursework or Master's coursework area of the study plan.

Announcement and recording of the grade

If you have registered online, the grade will be entered directly in the Campus Management Portal.
