Installing printers under Linux
- Check whether you are in the AIFB network. Either in the WLAN, LAN or via VPN2VLAN.
- Download printer driver from the manufacturer's website: Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX C3930i (as of 17.04.2024)
- Unzip the downloaded folder by right-clicking on the folder
- Open the terminal
- Change to the folder with 'cd FILE PATH/'
- Execute setup with 'sudo ./setup'
- The output should look like this
- Open settings
- Scroll to the Printer menu item -> Then click on "Add a printer"
- Enter the DNS name of the printer in the search field - A list of multifunction devices follows

- Wait briefly and select the desired printer which usually begins with 'iR-ADV-' and click on 'Add'
