Strategic Value Nets

Contact: Ulrich Scholten

Project Status: completed

Description

The goal of the project 'Strategic Value Nets' is to develop methods and models for value-driven, multi-level service composition. This includes concepts for the collection of service consumption data across multiple tiers in the context of service marketplaces. Further, feedback loops on consumption data and consumer preferences are researched with the goal to increase value net performance. In the groundwork of the project, the team focused on gaining relevant information and interdependencies in value networks. By the beginning of 2010, the team provided first results with respect to a software-architecture for the analysis of SVNs with the potential to optimize the service portfolio. The team is currently working on a validation of respective results to further explore the processes in platform-based value nets and their ecosystems.

Guiding questions are:

  • How do value nets self-organize?
  • How does value creation span across multiple levels of service enablers and providers?
  • How can the process be centrally influenced?
  • How can feedback be gathered and distributed?
