Beschreibung
In diesem Projekt kooperieren wir mit den Universitäten Amsterdam und Manchester, sowie dem Forschungszentrum Ladseb in Trento, Italien. Hauptaufgabe ist die Bereitstellung einer Infrastruktur für das Semantic Web. Dafür wurde im ersten Jahr bereits ein Prototyp entwickelt, welcher auch im KAON-Projekt eingebettet ist. Daneben beteiligt sich die Forschungsgruppe an der Standardisierung der zukünftigen Ontologiesprache für das Semantic Web (OWL), entwickelt Werkzeuge, um aus relationalen Datenbanken Ontologien zu extrahieren, und kümmert sich um die Anbindung existierender Klienten an die o.g. Infrastruktur.
