Beschreibung
Zusammen mit europäischen Partnern aus Wissenschaft und Industrie arbeitet das AIFB an dem Projekt SWAP. Typische Wissensmanagementsysteme in Unternehmen benötigen vorstrukturiertes Wissen, das in einer zentralen Wissensbank abgelegt werden muss, wodurch allerdings neue Probleme geschaffen werden. SWAP geht die semantischen Herausforderungen an, die durch die neuartige Kombination von Semantic Web mit Peer-to-Peer Technologie entstehen, so dass die Suche nach und das Teilen von Wissen effektiv möglich wird. SWAP entwickelt dabei eine Technologie, die es den Benutzern erlaubt, das Wissen auf ihren Rechnern ohne großen Aufwand zu erfassen und dieses effektiv in einem Peer-to-Peer Netzwerk mit Kollegen und Partnern zu teilen. Dabei behalten sie gleichzeitig die Autorität über die Inhalte und ihre eigene individuelle Sicht. Eine schon existierende Open Source Peer-to-Peer Lösung dient als Grundlage für die weitere Entwicklung von Methoden und Werkzeugen.
