Beschreibung

Liberalisierung und Globalisierung verlangen nach dezentral organisierten Märkten und monopolistische Strukturen werden aufgebrochen, Barrieren überwunden. Das Internet bietet dazu völlig neue Potenziale. Das Projekt SESAM baut auf der These auf, dass das Internet selbstorganisierende Netze und spontane Aktivitäten von Marktteilnehmern fördert und damit einen wesentlichen Beitrag zur Liberalisierung und Globalisierung und mithin zur Harmonisierung leisten kann. Das Vorhaben greift dazu zwei eng miteinander verflochtene Themenfelder der Internetökonomie auf: Einerseits müssen die Technologien vorangetrieben werden, um transparente, rechtsgebietsüberschreitende, robuste und sichere Informations- und Transaktionsdienste zu ermöglichen. Andererseits müssen die ökonomischen und rechtlichen Rahmenbedingungen (Vertragsregelungen, Geschäftsmodelle, Harmonisierung und Regulierung) Raum für den nachhaltigen Erfolg entsprechender elektronischer Märkte schaffen. Im Rahmen des BMBF-Forschungsschwerpunktes "Internetökonomie" läuft das Projekt SESAM - Selbstorganisation und Spontaneität in liberalisierten und harmonisierten Märkten von Juli 2003 bis mindestens Ende 2007.
