Project Kick-Off "DaWID: Data-Centered Value Creation"
The Kick-Off meeting for the research project "DaWID: Data-Centered Value Creation Platform for Interactive, Supportive Services" took place on February 25, 2020 at the Fraunhofer Institute for Software and Systems Engineering in Dortmund.
The research project will receive a total funding of €1.5 million from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) from 2020-2023. The aim of the project is to develop a metaplatform in a C2B2B context that eases access to data across diverse platforms building on the Industrial Data Space of the Fraunhofer-Society and the Data Intelligence Hub of the Deutsche Telekom AG. The main outcome of the research project will be enhanced monetization of data for citizens and companies while ensuring data sovereignty for citizens and other data subjects.
Within the research project, the focus of the cii research group led by Prof. Dr. Ali Sunyaev will be on the development of new and secure methods and tools for tracking, facilitating, and governing information flows across data platforms within the health care domain.
The project consortium is led by the Fraunhofer Institute for Software and Systems Engineering (ISST, Dortmund). Further project partners are the Institute for Digital Transformation in Healthcare (idigiT, Witten), the Fraunhofer Center for International Management and Knowledge Economy (IMW, Leipzig), and the Deutsche Telekom AG.
