Background:

The landscape of tools and frameworks that form the backbone of today’s cloud infrastructures is constantly changing. Novel solutions emerge that create yet novel business models based on the cloud computing paradigm. Against this backdrop, cloud providers are under constant pressure to deliver high-quality services to customers, while exploiting the benefits of emerging cloud technologies. In this context, the Research Group Critical Information Infrastructures offers both bachelor and master theses that focus on implementing and exploring novel technologies, concepts, and prototypes. Importantly, student’s work is highly appreciated and relevant for projects, we are carrying out with our partners, for instance, SAP.

Objective(s):

Possible topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing / implementing front-end tools/frameworks (e.g., AngularJS, React, Vue) to visualize cloud-related information
  • Developing / implementing back-end tools/frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Python, MongoDB) to store and handle cloud-related information
  • Defining design guidelines and principles for reliable cloud infrastructures

We specifically encourage students to discuss own ideas, since we are in a rapidly-changing project environment that offers some flexibility. A specific topic will be selected during a first meeting.

Students can work together with SAP and us on selected projects.
