Philip Schörner studied mechanical engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) until 2017. His focus during his master's studies was on product development, control engineering, and cognitive systems. He conducted his master's thesis "Metrics for influencing road users in autonomous driving" in cooperation with the Technical Cognitive Systems (TKS) department at the FZI Research Center for Information Technology / FZI Forschungszentrum Informatik.


There he has been working as a research associate since February 2017, focusing on behavior and motion planning under consideration of uncertainties, and is vice head of department since 2021.
