We welcome Ms. PD. Dr.-Ing. Tatiana Landesberger von Antburg as substitute professor

May 6th, 2019 - In the summer term 2019, Ms. PD. Dr.-Ing. Tatiana Landesberger von Antburg will take over a substitute professorship at the Institute AIFB. Ms. Landesberger from Antburg does research in the field of "Visual Search and Analysis" and comes to us from the TU Darmstadt. She complements our curriculum with a lecture on "Visual Computing".

Action day at Safer Internet Day in cafeteria foyer at Campus Süd

February 5th, 2019 - Under the motto "Protect the IT-infrastructure of the KIT together" the SECUSO research developed new information materials and awareness measures on the topic of cybersecurity together with other central facilities and research groups (SCC, KASTEL, AIFB, ZML) based on their research results. On the occasion of the Safer Internet Day, SECUSO members present them to the public in the KIT cafeteria and make themselves available for questions on the topic of cyber-security. More...


Semantic Web Outstanding Paper Award 2018 for Researchers from our "Web Science" group

October 11th, 2018 - Michael Färber, Frederic Bartscherer, Carsten Menne, and Achim Rettinger have received the Semantic Web Outstanding Paper Award 2018 from Semantic Web Journal for their paper "Linked Data Quality of DBpedia, Freebase, OpenCyc, Wikidata, and YAGO".
