At the 6th National IT-Summit in Munich on December 6th the participants of the Software Campus were introduced in the presence of Chancellor Angela Merkel. Among the eleven outstanding students who participate in the pilot phase of the Software Campus is Robin Fischer, PhD student at the AIFB research group of Prof. Stefan Tai.

Launched in late 2010, the Software Campus initiative is intended to remedy the lack of IT managers with technical background. The Software Campus is sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), leading German software companies and universities including KIT. All participants will receive funding to lead small research projects for max. 2 years to deepen existing research concepts and to jointly evaluate them with their industry partners in practice. "I am looking forward to the challenge of exploring my concepts for performance monitoring of business processes in modern software platforms with SAP. The first event was very impressive. I am very excited to see how we will further develop the pilot phase, " said Robin Fischer.
