First Critical infrastructures (CIs) have started to outsource their IT systems into the cloud to gain cost savings, increase their efficiency and profit from cutting edge technology CIs face additional risks when migrating IT systems or processes into a cloud, such as the loss of control over security and privacy measures, data location, authentication and access control, third-party attacks or interferences, legislative issues or the violation of service level agreements (SLAs). Cloud providers and CIs need to understand the corresponding challenges, issues and risks in order to successfully adopt and manage cloud solutions
