|Beschreibung EN=This thesis examines the strengths and weaknesses of Distributed Ledger Technology, among others of blockchain, for the digitalization of German prescriptions and its process from the creation to the fulfillment and billing in combination with a patient-specific presentation of the medication to be taken, the medication plan. It is shown that the strengths of the technology only outweigh the disadvantages if a party that is trusted by all users and that offers a client-server solution does not exist. For this purpose, a system design which complies with the current requirements is developed and evaluated. Characteristics that influence the security, transparency, usability, flexibility, further development, performance and legal compliance are considered for evaluation. It is shown that the use of a private, permissioned Quorum blockchain in combination with a private IPFS seems most appropriate. The strength of Distributed Ledger Technology is then that it provides a trustworthy database in an untrusted environment. The modular structure of the system provides sufficient flexibility to integrate further developments. An adequate usability is achieved by using a straightforward user interface. Weaknesses resulting from the decentralization are a lower performance, and an increased transparency, and thus decreased confidentiality of the status of the prescription data.

This thesis examines the strengths and weaknesses of Distributed Ledger Technology, among others of blockchain, for the digitalization of German prescriptions and its process from the creation to the fulfillment and billing in combination with a patient-specific presentation of the medication to be taken, the medication plan.
