Background:
SAP is a global cloud service provider that offers diverse services for their customers, including Enterprise Resource Management Services. However, SAP faces an ever-increasing amount of requirements that they have to fulfill and prove compliance to their customers. For example, every month several third parties visit SAP and investigate their cloud service infrastructure, talk to employees and check documents and log data. As this manual process is highly expensive and resource demanding, SAP is striving after automation of their compliance processes together with us, the Research Group Critical Information Infrastructures.
Objective(s):
Possible topics include but are not limited to:
- Classifying requirements and analyzing how to prove compliance with them
- Defining guidelines on how to automate compliance processes
- Developing / implementing visualizations of compliance data
- Implementing automated compliance test procedures together with SAP
Topics of interest change rapidly as we talk to SAP and move on in the project. A specific topic will be selected during a first meeting. Students can work together with SAP and us.
