Background:

Prof. Ali Sunyaev from the Critical Information Infrastructure Research Group at the Institute of Applied Informatics and Formal Description Methods (AIFB) (http://cii.aifb.kit.edu) is offering a research internship in cooperation with Prof. Jakub Szefer at the Yale University (http://csl.yale.edu/).

Bachelor students from the KIT can apply until November 1st, 2019 for an internship.

The internship is part of the DAAD program “RISE worldwide”. DAAD is funding German students again, going to 37 different countries with RISE worldwide. Highly motivated Undergraduate Students with good grades and recommendations from the fields of earth sciences, engineering, natural sciences, medicine, and related disciplines, will be matched with researchers worldwide, who wish to host young German researchers for the summer. DAAD provides scholarships for the successful applicants to help cover part of the living and travel costs. Visit http://www.daad.de/rise/de/rise-weltweit/ueber-das-programm/ for more information.

Refer to the appended document for detailed information (partially only available in German). Bachelor students will write their bachelor thesis in the cii research group to prepare for the internship.
