Semantic Web Technologies are well-suited for the modelling and integration of data. The data is represented in RDF and thus can easily be integrated and queried using SPARQL. Because RDF data can come from many different sources and can be arbitrarily structured, users often have a hard time making sense of the data.

Technologien des Semantic Webs eignen sich zur Modellierung und Integration von Daten. Diese Daten liegen in RDF vor und können so einfach integriert und mittels SPARQL angefragt werden. Da RDF Daten aus vielen Quellen stammen und beliebig strukturiert sein können, ist es für Nutzer oft schwer, sich in RDF Daten zurechtzufinden.

Ziele der Abschlussarbeit sind das Konzipieren und das prototypische Umsetzen von Methoden und Verfahren zur Anfrage von integrierten Web-Daten, mit der Möglichkeit, interaktiv Anfragen zu erstellen und Ergebnisse mit anderen Nutzern zu teilen, ähnlich dem Many Eyes System.

Kenntnisse in Web Technologien (HTML, CSS) sowie Programmierkenntnisse in Java, Python oder JavaScript für serverseitige Anwendungen sind erforderlich. Ausserdem werden Grundkenntnisse in RDF, Linked Data und SPARQL vorausgesetzt, z.B. wie sie in der Vorlesung Semantic Web Technologies vermittelt werden. Englischkenntnisse sind von Vorteil.
