In recent years, the public sector has been subjected to the introduction of ‘private sector’ management techniques with the objective to become more efficient without sacrificing quality of service. Most of the established accounting techniques focus on cost modelling, assessment and estimation for the production industry. The main goal of this assignment is to research & develop cost accounting techniques for the realm of IT Service Management in the public sector.
