Markus Klems is a graduate of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) where he received a Diplom degree in Industrial Engineering. Markus Klems is now a research assistant and PhD student at KIT, focusing on scalability and fault-tolerance in cloud application architectures and NoSQL database systems.

Since June 2014, Markus has been a member of the Information Systems Engineering research group of TU Berlin.
