W3C standardises Linked Data vocabulary for statistics with contributions from AIFB/FZI


January 16th 2014 - The W3C Government Linked Data Working Group (GLD) has standardised an RDF vocabulary for publishing multidimensional datasets such as from statistics and sensors. The RDF Data Cube Vocabulary (QB) enables to publish and then integrate and analyse datasets with Linked-Data-based tools. A W3C Working Group Note on Use Cases and Lessons for the Data Cube Vocabulary by researchers from AIFB/FZI and DERI supports the standard. More...

AIFB-Startup SearchHaus wins EXIST-Business Startup Grant


Karlsruhe, January 1st, 2014 - The Startup SearchHaus of AIFB-Alumni Dr. Daniel Herzig and Dr. Günter Ladwig and Prof. Studer successfully won the EXIST-Business Startup Grant by the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs. The scholarship starts from January 1st 2014 and includes financial means for one year, in order to further develop their semantic search technology.
