The research group Systems, Data, Simulation & Energy (SYDSEN) is concerned with the advancement of the field of Modeling and Simulation by developing new methods to utilize nowadays prevalently available data from easily accessible Internet of Things (IoT) devices. In addition, the research group looks at the synergies between Artificial Intelligence and Simulation to enhance both areas.
The application areas focus on cyber-physical systems, including smart factories and energy systems, and enhancing various performance metrics, such as energy efficiency, production and reliability.
